ThumbGrab

Terms of Service

What ThumbGrab is

ThumbGrab is a free utility that lets you save the public thumbnails of YouTube videos. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to YouTube or Google. The service is provided as-is, for free, with no warranty of availability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Your responsibility

Thumbnails are part of the creator's content and protected by copyright like any other image. You may freely download your own thumbnails, and using someone else's thumbnail generally requires permission or a license. Copyright and personal-copy rules vary by country, and you are solely responsible for making sure your use of the files you download is lawful where you live and consistent with YouTube's Terms of Service.

Fair use of the service

Do not use ThumbGrab to mass-scrape thumbnails, build datasets, resell access or overload the service or its infrastructure. We may rate-limit or block traffic that harms the service for everyone else.

No guarantees

Which sizes exist depends entirely on what YouTube generated for each video: full-HD thumbnails exist only for HD uploads, and YouTube may change its storage at any time. We make no promise that any particular size will be available for any particular video.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThumbGrab and its operators are not liable for any damages, data loss or claims arising from your use of the service or of the files you download with it.
